The Irish Year of Design

Have you ever looked at something particularly tacky, impossibly wrong or just weird and thought “someone actually designed that”? Good design makes life smoother, faster and often happier. This is Irish year of design and there will be exhibitions, events and competitions to celebrate the best in design.

The Coach House in Dublin Castle is the exhibition hub. Among the items to be looked at will be hand-crafted objects, an artificial knee joint, food design and those enduring objects that define our heritage.
