TIMOTHY CUNNINGHAM, Woodbine Lodge, Farran, Co Cork, is charged with 10 counts of money-laundering arising from an extensive Garda investigation following the robbery of £26.5 million from the Northern Bank in Belfast on December 20th, 2004.

Mr Cunningham is charged with possessing £3,010,389 approximately between December 20th, 2004, and February 16th, 2005, at Farran, knowing or believing that it represented the proceeds of the robbery at the Northern Bank Cash Centre, Donegall Square West, Belfast.

He is also charged that on February 7th, 2005, at Tullamore, Co Offaly, he did, knowing or believing £100,040 to be the proceeds of the Northern Bank robbery, transfer the said cash to one John Douglas.

He is also charged that on February 2nd, 2005, at Tullamore, Co Offaly, he did, knowing or believing £100,060 to be the proceeds of the Northern Bank robbery, transfer the said cash to one John Douglas.

He is also charged that between January 21st, 2005, and February 17th, 2005, he did, knowing or believing a Nissan Pulsar, valued at €6,000, to be the proceeds of the Northern Bank robbery, transfer the car to one Catherine Nelson with the intention of concealing or disguising its source.

He is also charged that between January 21st, 2005, and February 24th, 2005, he did, knowing or believing a Honda Civic, valued at €5,000, to be the proceeds of the Northern Bank raid, transfer the car to one Catherine Clifford with the intention of concealing or disguising its source.

He is also charged that between January 21st, 2005, and February 11th, 2005, he did, knowing or believing a Mitsubishi Pajero, valued at €10,000, to be the proceeds of the Northern Bank raid, transfer the car to one Thomas Hanlon with the intention of concealing or disguising its source.

Mr Cunningham is also charged that at Farran on January 21st, 2005, he did, knowing or believing £200,000 to be the proceeds of the Northern Bank robbery, transferred the said cash to one Dan Joe Guerin.

He is also charged that on February 7th, 2005, within the State that he did, knowing or believing two cheques to the value of €144,000 to represent the proceeds of the Northern Bank robbery, lodge them to his account at the Agricultural Credit Corporation in Wicklow, Co Wicklow.

He is also charged that on February 7th, 2005, within the State, he did, knowing or believing a cheque to the value of €56,000 to represent the proceeds of the Northern Bank robbery, transfer the same cheque to Tim Cunningham jnr.

He is also charged that at Ballincollig, Co Cork, on February 7th, 2007, he did, knowing or believing £175,360 cash to be the proceeds of the Northern Bank robbery, transfer it to one John Sheehan, thereby obtaining three cheques to a total value of €200,000.
