Gardaí investigate ‘attempted criminal damage’ at the Black Forge on Drimnagh Road

Gardaí are investigating an incident of “attempted criminal damage” at the Black Forge, owned by UFC fighter Conor McGregor, in south Dublin on Wednesday night.

It is understood two petrol bombs were thrown at the premises on the Drimnagh Road in Dublin 12. Gardaí said no damage was done to the pub but are appealing to any witnesses to come forward.

“Gardaí are investigating an incident of attempted criminal damage at a licensed premises on the Drimnagh Road . . . last night, Wednesday, January 12th, 2022. No damage was done to the premises,” said a Garda spokesman.

“Gardaí are particularly keen for anyone with camera footage from the area overnight to make this available to them.”
