Man to appear in Mallow court in relation to death of Conor Quinn

Victim was stabbed in town not long after moving to the area

A man in his twenties is to appear at a special sitting of Mallow District Court in Co Cork on Saturday afternoon in relation in to the investigation into murder of father of one Conor Quinn.

Mr Quinn (24) was a native of Loughrea in Co Galway. He was stabbed once in the chest on Bridge Street in Mallow on July 12th, 2018. Mr Quinn collapsed on the street. A passing ambulance stopped and he was taken to Cork University Hospital but despite efforts by paramedics to save him he died a short time later at the hospital.

Mr Quinn had moved to Killavullen in North Cork some months earlier.

His partner Stephanie gave birth to their son just days after the killing. She named him Conor after his late father.
