Man arrested over 1998 Omagh bombing

Detectives investigating the Omagh bombing have arrested a man in connection with the 1998 event .

Twenty-nine people, including a woman pregnant with twins, died in the Real IRA car bombing attack in the Co Tyrone town on August 15th 1998.

The man was arrested in the Newry area by detectives from the PSNI yesterday. The man is being questioned by police in the serious crime suite in Antrim.

Tha attack is considered one of the worst atrocities of the Troubles.
