Man in court today over child trafficking offence

A man was due in court this morning in relation to offences contrary to the Child Trafficking & Pornography Act, 1998.

The man (33) was arrested in Ennistymon, Co Clare, on Wednesday.

He was detained under provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 and charged yesterday.

He was to appear before a special sitting of Kilrush District Court this morning.
