Gardai are seeking witnesses to a fight in Dublin city centre last night during which a man was stabbed in the leg.

A Garda spokesman said a fight broke out between a number of men on Aungier Street at about 7.45pm before moving on to Cuffe Street.

During the fracas, one man in his late teens was stabbed a number of times in the upper leg.

He was taken to St James’s Hospital where he is described as being in a serious condition.
