A male teenager is due to appear in court today after a van was stolen in Dublin city centre and driven at speed through Ranelagh village where it collided with a number of vehicles.
The drivers of two of the cars struck by the stolen van were taken to hospital for treatment for minor injuries after the incident in south Dublin last night.
Gardai said a van stolen from Georges Street South by two male and two female teenagers was driven out of the city centre at high speed before coming to stop in Ranelagh after colliding with five moving and parked vehicles.
Two males and two females in their teens were arrested at the scene and brought to Pearse Street and Irishtown Garda stations.
A male (19) is due before court this morning charged in relation to the incident.
The second male teenager remains in custody in Pearse Street.
One juvenile female was released without charge and a woman (18) has been charged and released on bail. She will appear before court at a future date.
