Car crash in Co Cork seriously injures three people

Two passengers had to be cut free from wreckage caused by collision near Macroom

Three people were seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash on the Cork-Killarney road outside Ballyvourney village.

The accident happened on the N22 just before 1pm on Sunday. Two of the injured passengers were cut free from the wreckage by members of Macroom fire service. Three people were taken to Cork University Hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries. A fourth person was uninjured.
