A firefighter has been hospitalised after a fire in Co Kildare.
The emergency services attended the scene at Canal Walk on the Stradbally Road in Athy at about 10.30am.
A member of the fire services, believed to be a man in his 20s, was taken to Naas General Hospital with injuries described as non-life threatening.
It was first reported that there had been a gas explosion.

However a Garda spokesman indicated it was not known at this stage what had caused the fire.
