Former Trinity provost appointed to Irish Times Trust

Dr John Hegarty has been appointed to The Irish Times Trust CLG.

A former provost and now Fellow Emeritus of Trinity College Dublin, he previously served as dean of research and head of the Physics Department and was professor of laser physics.

Dr Hegarty is a member and former chair of the Irish Fulbright Commission, a member of the Hugh Lane Gallery Board, and a director of Innovation Advisory Partners.

He is also a member of the Royal Irish Academy and a Fellow of the Institute of Physics.
