Irish man critically injured in Bulgarian resort

An Irishman is in a critical condition after suffering head injuries at a beach resort in Bulgaria.

The man is understood to have fractured his skull during an incident on Tuesday night at the Sunny Beach resort on the Black Sea coast of Bulgaria.

The Department of Foreign Affairs has confirmed it is providing consular assistance to the man’s family.
