Man (28) dies in Tipperary crash

A 28-year-old man was killed in a single car crash in Co Tipperary early today.

The man was a front-seat passenger in the car which hit a ditch at Rathronan, Clonmel at about 1.20am. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver (20) was taken to South Tipperary Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The road is closed to allow for examination by forensic investigators.
