A man in his 30s has died in a road crash in Co Louth.

Gardaí in Drogheda are investigating the two vehicle collision at Tullyard, Ballymakenny Road which happened at approximately 5.40pm this evening.

A 39-year-old male was fatally injured when his motorcycle collided with a tractor. He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body removed to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. The driver of the tractor was uninjured.

Gardaí closed the stretch of road for examination by Garda forensic collision investigators.
