Newbridge Silverware centre hit by fire

Blaze brought under control on Friday evening

Emergency services responded to a fire at Newbridge Silverware on Friday evening. The building contains facilities including a shop, cafe and exhibition space.

It is understood the blaze was relatively minor and was not being treated as suspicious. It was brought under control by firefighters just after 10pm.

In a statement gardaí said they attended the scene of a fire at a business premises in Newbridge, County Kildare.

“Local Fire Services also attended the scene in order to extinguish the fire. No injuries were reported,” they said.
