Search underway in Clare after car spotted in water

A search was underway in Quilty, Co Clare after a car was spotted in the water nearthe village on Sunday evening.

Gardai said the vehicle was subsequently removed from the sea but there were no occupants inside.

Gardai said emergency services were carrying out a search in the area on Sunday night.
