Three people have died on Irish roads over the past 24 hours.
The latest fatality was that of a female pedestrian who was killed in Dundalk, Co Louth.
The woman, who was in her 70s died after she was knocked down by a truck at 6:50pm on Tuesday evening at Mourne Vale estate.
She was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency services, and the driver of the truck was not injured.

Gardaí have sealed off the road to allow garda forensic collision investigators examine the scene.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact them at Dundalk Garda Station on 042-9388400.
A man in his 40s died on Tuesday morning after the car he was driving collided with another car in Co Laois.
The crash happened just before 9am on the N80 between Stradbally and Arles at Simmons Mill Cross.
The occupants of the other car, a woman and her child, received minor injuries and were taken to the Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise and Our Lady’s Hospital for Sick Children in Crumlin, Dublin.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the accident or may have been travelling on the N80 between 8am and 9am to contact them at Portlaoise Garda station on 057-8674100.
Meanwhile a woman in her 60s died after a three-car crash in Co Roscommon on Monday night.
The crash occurred at Ballinaboy Cross on the N63 Lanesboro to Roscommon road just before 9.45pm.
The 68-year-old woman, who was driving one of the vehicles, was pronounced dead at the scene and her body was taken to the mortuary at Roscommon Hospital.
The two drivers of the other cars were injured and taken to Ballinasloe and Tullamore hospitals for treatment. Their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
