Harry McGee has been appointed to the post of Political Correspondent.
He has been on the political staff of The Irish Timessince January 2008, having joined from the Irish Examinerwhere he was political editor. He is a former editor of Magillmagazine and has also worked for RTÉ, the Sunday Tribune, the Sunday Pressand the Connacht Tribune.
A native of Salthill in Galway, he is a qualified barrister and is a former winner of the Young Journalist of the Year award.
