A 35 year old man has been remanded in custody after he was charged late last night with the rape of a woman in Kanturk in north Cork last month.
The manwas brought before a special sitting of Kanturk District Court last night where he was charged with the rape of a woman in the public toilets in Church Street Kanturk on March 9th.
Judge Tim Lucey deferred the question of bail with consent of the accused and remanded in him in custody to appear again in Kanturk district court on Wednesday next.
