Martin Dwyer, who works in horticulture, is originally from Carrigtwohill but now lives in nearby Midleton in Cork East constituency.

"I suppose health and jobs and the economy are the main issues - it's very hard to read into it [ the controversy about how the Taoiseach purchased his home] and know what really happened, but there seems to be so much of it in Irish politics - it's everywhere.

"I'm from Carrigtwohill originally and Michael Ahern would be my neighbour but we're staunch Fine Gael - all the family have always been Fine Gael so I'll be voting Fine Gael - we're David Stanton kind of people, that's what we are."
