TDs AND Senators are getting ready to strut their stuff on the catwalk in December.

Deputy Nicky McFadden is organising a big charity fashion show which will take place in the Shelbourne Hotel on Tuesday, November 27th. Nicky, who was diagnosed earlier this year with motor neuron disease, is co-producing the show with fashionista supreme Marietta Doran, who will compere.

Minister Jimmy Deenihan is also helping behind the scenes with the organisation and he tells us that a cross-party list of model politicians has already been put together.

Their names are being kept under wraps, but they’ll be the ones sticking to salads in the Dáil canteen over the next few weeks.

The model agencies are on board and Dublin’s top fashion models will also take part, along with sporting celebrities.

Tickets cost €60, to include a drinks reception before the show. They are available from the Shelbourne, but with only 300 on offer and huge interest in the show from Leinster House, they’re moving fast.

All proceeds will go to the Motor Neurone Association of Ireland, Action Prostate Cancer and Br Kevin’s Capuchin Day Centre in Dublin.
