Protesting workers at the Woodfab timber processing plant in Aughrim, Co Wicklow, have called on management to reinstate them or offer improved redundancy terms.

Some 60 workers found themselves without work in August 2010 when a fire destroyed a mill at the plant.

A spokesman for the protesters said eight workers were rehired after the fire, 10 went on protest and the rest accepted redundancy.
