A truck driver has been remanded on bail after he was charged with dangerous driving causing death.

A truck driver has been remanded on bail after he was charged with dangerous driving causing death.

The charges relate to the death of a woman who was killed when her stationary car was struck near a toll booth on the main Cork-Dublin motorway earlier this year.

Marcin Paluch (36), a Polish national with an address at Castlerock Avenue, Baneshane, Midleton, Co Cork, was charged yesterday with dangerous driving causing the death of another Polish national, Magdalena Kossowk, at Skananagh North, Watergrasshill, Co Cork, on April 27th, 2012. Yesterday at Cork District Court, Insp Tony O’Sullivan applied for an adjournment to allow for directions from the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Judge Con O’Leary remanded Mr Paluch on his own bond of €1,000 to appear at Cork District Court on November 7th.
