Malaysian crash: list of nationalities aboard flight MH17

Majority of 298 casualties were from the Netherlands

The Malaysia Airlines plane that was shot down over eastern Ukraine was carrying 298 people from at least 10 countries.

Here is a breakdown of the nationalities of those on board:

Netherlands: 173

Malaysia: 44 (including 15 crew and two infants)

Canada: 1

New Zealand: 1

Hong Kong: 1

The nationalities of 18 of the dead are unconfirmed.

Chinese-language Malaysian news agency Sin Chew released crew member names. All were Malaysian citizens.
