Lord Mayor of London: 'NHS on the verge of collapsing'

London's mayor Sadiq Khan declared a "major incident" to help the city's hospitals cope, saying the new restrictions were inevitable otherwise the NHS would collapse under the joint pressures of staff shortages and increased hospitalisations.
