Police hunt man over theft of €28,000 worth of biscuits

UK detectives appeal for information on Paul Michael Price following raid on factory

Detectives are searching for a man over a robbery that literally took the biscuit.

Police said they want to speak to Liverpudlian Paul Michael Price in connection with the theft of £20,000 (about €28,000) worth of biscuits from the maker of Jammie Dodgers and Wagon Wheels.

The biscuits were in a lorry and trailer stolen from Burton’s Foods in Cwmbran, south Wales, in an early-morning raid on the factory in June.

A Gwent Police spokesman said on Friday: "We're appealing for information to locate 37-year-old Paul Michael Price from the Liverpool area, who we would like to speak with following the theft of a trailer containing approximately £20,000 worth of biscuits from Burton's Foods Ltd on Ty Coch Way in Cwmbran."
