The recent study published by the Lancet, revealing that global immunisation efforts have saved an estimated 154 million lives over the past 50 years, is truly one of those moments. This remarkable achievement highlights the extraordinary impact humanity can have when it acts collectively. Through dedicated efforts across the globe vaccines have not only prevented diseases but have also transformed the lives of millions of children and families everywhere.

During World Immunisation Week, let us reflect on the theme of this year’s campaign: “Humanly Possible”, which embodies the spirit of optimism and determination driving our ongoing efforts to expand access to life-saving vaccines, ensuring that millions more are protected, and that no child is left behind.
