Sir, – Dylan Vaughan’s photograph of Kevin Sharkey and his half page of notes addressing Carlow County Council in his bid for the Park sums up the giant toothless tiger the role actually is (Home News, August 16th).
Reading some of the pitches by the prospective candidates spouting their promises for projects they cannot by law even deliver, is an insult to the intelligence of the Irish people. Make Ireland “great” . Please, you are just making the rest of us grate! – Yours, etc,
