A ‘solidarity tax’ on passports?

Sir, – With Irish passport demand from Britain and the North up 70 per cent (News, February 17th), can I suggest that the Government impose a “past oppression solidarity” tax on such applications? About €900 would be appropriate for those who are more loyal to the half-crown that the crown. – Yours, etc,
