Sir, – The chit-chat of your playing partners whilst you are addressing your ball can be innocent, or deliberate, in which case it is termed “bustle”.
A golfer of my acquaintance deals with such interference with aplomb. Having taken his shot, he turns to the offending parties and offers an apology for playing golf while they are talking!
