Sir, – I've always considered myself to be reasonably fair in giving travel reviews, and I was disappointed to read in "Irish tourists among the grumpiest in the world" (News, June 19th) that Irish travellers are the second grumpiest in the world.
So I was surprised to find myself becoming very grumpy when, after wading through a plethora of statistics, it still wasn’t clear to me who the grumpiest tourists are.
I'm afraid I wasn't in very good humour when I had to go beyond The Irish Times to find out that Spain beats us in the grumpy tourist stakes. – Yours, etc,
