Sir, – I have just read a great piece by Lorna Siggins, "Dead dolphins in Kerry lead to call for EU action" (July 14th).
It is accompanied by an image of a leaping dolphin. Unfortunately is it a Hector’s dolphin, a very rare dolphin, and only found in New Zealand.
The species referred to in the article are common dolphins. I have been in contact with your newspaper in the past on this issue. – Yours, etc,
