Sir, – I note that Gerard Reynolds used the term "outrageous" three times in his letter regarding unions' requests for restoration of public-sector pay (April 23rd).
Clearly Mr Reynolds is outraged; however, I don’t remember him venting his spleen on the letters page at the banking sector that caused all the fuss in the first place. I would also remind him that the unwinding of the pay cuts once the economy recovered was explicitly part of the agreements made with the public sector at the time. – Yours, etc,
