Sir, – Surely it’s a win-win situation to wash all recyclable cartons, jars and bottles.
It’s a win for the workers who have to sort our recycling, and it’s a win for us with fewer smelly bins. It costs so little in time or water to wash them when doing the normal “washing up”. It is not daft at all! – Yours, etc,
