Antrim forced into more changes

Ulster hurling champions Antrim have a number of injuries going into Sunday's provincial hurling final against Down. Although the team shows two changes from the semi-final win over Derry, a number of players were not considered because of injury.

Gerard Cunningham comes in at corner back as an indirect replacement for centrefielder Martin Scullion. Darren Quinn comes in for Liam Watson, who is nursing a knee injury and whom he replaced in the Derry match.

Michael Magill (hand), Conor Cunning (knee) and Ciaran Connolly (back) were not considered as they are carrying serious injuries. Mickey Kettle has a slight knock on his ankle whereas Liam Watson is nursing a knee injury.

John Convery, a soccer player with Portadown and formerly on the books at Glasgow Celtic, is named at full forward on the Down team.

He replaces Paul Braniff who damaged knee ligaments in the semi-final win over New York. James Henry Hughes, the Ballycran defender, retains his place at left corner back.
