Committee to assist Ken McGrath rehab after heart operation

A committee has been established to assist former Waterford hurler and All Star Ken McGrath in his recovery from a serious heart operation. Set up with the McGrath family, it will administer "The Ken McGrath Rehabilitation Fund".

Earlier this year,McGrath (36) had open heart surgery, recovery from which will involve a lengthy rehabilitation process with considerable financial implications.

Benefit match
The committee, in conjunction with the GPA Past Players Advisory Board, Mount Sion, Club Déise, Waterford county board and former county players have decided to hold a benefit match in Walsh Park on Friday 27th June at 7:30.

The match will be between Leinster and Munster selections . Match tickets will cost €10 at outlets to be announced.
