Round two of the All-Ireland football qualifiers has thrown up another particularly tasty all-Ulster tie of Tyrone against the losers of the Monaghan-Armagh provincial semi-final replay.

That was the pick from the 2B side of the draw, and Tyrone – convincing round one winners over Louth at the weekend, and first out of the bowl in this morning’s draw – will have home advantage if Armagh come through the replay, which is set for this Sunday.

However should Monaghan lose, they will have home advantage against Tyrone, as they beat them already in this year's championship.

All Round 2B games are to take place on Saturday week, July 12th. They will also feature Carlow at home to Clare, where Anthony Rainbow's Carlow team will look to continue some of the momentum gained from the win over Waterford at the weekend.

Cavan will host Roscommon, while Down will host Kildare, the losers of yesterday's Leinster semi-final against Meath.

In Round 2A – and those games are due to take place next Saturday, July 5th – there is an even four games that features yesterday's other beaten Leinster semi-finals Wexford against losing quarter-finalists Laois.

Tipperary – who pushed Cork so close in Munster – will play Longford, while Limerick will host Antrim. Finally, Wicklow will against have home advantage in fortress Aughrim when they welcome beaten Connacht semi-finalists Sligo.

Times and venues for all Round 2A games were confirmed by the CCCC this afternoon.
