Tens of thousands of hurling fans made their way to Croke Park in Dublin today to watch the All-Ireland hurling final between Cork and Clare.

The second half saw the scoreline narrow further as Cork clawed their way into the lead in the final moments of the game. But a late point for Clare saw the game end Clare 0-25 Cork 3-16.

Cork manager Jimmy Barry Murphy said the draw was “a fair result”.

Earlier on, the All-Ireland minor final saw Waterford beat Galway by 1-21 to 16 points. Waterford were last in a minor final in 1992; their opponents Galway have been in 15, and won eight.

All those heading for Croke Park were advised to use Luas, bus and train services as far as possible, along with park and ride facilities.

After the game patrons will have the option of travelling the Belfast Road (M1) or on the M50 to the (N2) Ashbourne Road, (N3) Navan Road, (N4) Lucan Road, (N7) Naas Road and (N11) Wexford Road.
