Munster MHC Semi-final/Tipperary 3-21 Limerick 0-12:A third-minute goal from full forward Pat Maher put Tipperary on their way to a comfortable win over a disappointing Limerick in the Munster minor semi-final at the Gaelic Grounds yesterday.
Limerick were still in the chase when they trailed 1-7 to 0-6 after 20 minutes but a second goal for Tipperary, this time from centre forward Seán Carey, had the visitors very much in the ascendancy, 2-10 to 0-6, at the interval.
While the Limerick seniors may find a 10-point half-time deficit far from insuperable, their minors could not find a way back in the game and Pat Maher's second goal of the game was the icing on the cake for the Premier County on 50 minutes.
