Martin comes home fourth in Belgian race

Ireland's Daniel Martin kept up his fine recent form with a fourth place finish in Fleche Wallonne one-day Classic in Belgium on Wednesday.

Spaniard Dani Moreno of the Katusha team won the 205 kilometres race in a time of fours hours 52 minutes and 33 seconds, with Colombia's Sergio Henoa of Team Sky coming home three seconds adrift in second place.

Carlos Betanvur of Colombia took the final podium position in a sprint finish from Martin in the hilly one-day race.

Nicolas Roche finished in 37th position, 43 seconds behind Moreno.

The Fleche Wallonne is the second of a series of three races known as the Ardennes Classics. The third is the Liege-Bastogne-Liege Classic on Sunday.
