Garmin has expanded its Fenix range of multisport GPS smartwatches to include the new Fenix 7 Pro range. The new devices take all the things that worked about the Fenix 7 watches – solar charging, heart rate monitoring, activity monitoring – and add a few more, such as an LED flashlight and mapping upgrades, to make sure the smartwatch becomes indispensable. The heart rate sensor has also been upgraded, with more spatially diverse optical sensors and sport-specific algorithms for better performance tracking. The new Pro series watches also offer an endurance score and rate your hill performance.

The updated watches also include new preloaded activities such as whitewater rafting and motocross, and the solar charging means you can get weeks of battery life out of a full charge.
