EY strengthens partnership in Ireland with 22 new equity partners, bringing total number to 148 across the island

Professional services firm continues to make significant investments in top talent to meet growing client demand and support the strong growth of the business

EY Ireland is strengthening its partnership with 22 new equity partners as the firm continues to make significant investments in top talent to meet growing client demand and to support the strong growth of the business.

These new partners, representing a mix of internal promotions and external hires, will bring the total number of EY equity partners to 148 across the island of Ireland. They are Mary Coghlan, David Bennett, Mark Hegarty, Andrei Mankov, Aine Reidy (assurance) Tim Bergin, Paul Browne, Gary Comiskey, Colette Devey, Keara Geary, Ronan William Glynn, Cillian Leonowicz, Judith Lynch, John McAuliffe, Siofra Moriarty, Brian Moroney, Will Murray, Pauline Poots, Jennifer Ryan, Niamh Tobin (consulting) John Nealon, Rachel  Dillon (tax).

In the past five years alone, EY Ireland has welcomed 89 new Equity Partners as the firm has grown steadily in all areas of the business including assurance, tax and law, consulting and strategy and transactions.

Today EY Ireland’s total headcount stands at over 4,800 with offices in six locations on the island of Ireland; Dublin, Belfast, Cork, Galway, Limerick and Waterford.

New EY equity partners

David Bennett

David Bennett has been admitted as equity partner in EY financial services assurance, providing audit and assurance services to our alternative asset management clients.  He leads the EY financial services regional audit practice located in Cork. David is focused on alternative investment funds and having led the audits of some of the world’s largest hedge fund managers, brings a depth of experience to support EY’s clients.

Tim Bergin

Tim Bergin has been admitted as an equity partner in EY’s people consulting practice. He has driven the growth of new service offerings in his role as Innovation Lead and has led the growth of some of EY’s largest accounts. He has led large transformation programmes across a range of public and private sector clients and has worked across a range of geographies, including North America, Europe and Asia.

Paul Browne

Paul Browne has been admitted as an Equity Partner in consulting as part of EY’s technology consulting team. Paul leads EY’s Microsoft and cloud services group in Ireland. He has an accomplished track record in large scale technology transformation delivery both in Ireland and internationally. With 20 years of consulting experience, Paul assists clients to support innovation by adopting modern cloud services and operating models.

Mary Coghlan

Mary Coghlan has been admitted as an equity partner in EY’s data and analytics team and is the firm’s leader for health data and analytics. Mary is a qualified medical doctor, an experienced actuary and an analytics expert. Her focus is the provision of a range of data and analytics services to clients across the healthcare ecosystem and she is a key leader in our growing healthcare business.

Gary Comiskey

Gary Comiskey has been admitted as an equity partner working with the consulting team to deliver services to government and health sector clients.  He leads a variety of complex projects enabling public sector and healthcare transformation initiatives across central Government and other public sector bodies. Gary joined EY five years ago and brings more than 20 years professional service experience.

Colette Devey

Colette Devey has joined the EY Ireland partnership following 15 years with EY in UK. Colette is a business consulting partner and consumer sector lead. She has worked extensively with UK and international retailers and consumer products businesses and is leading EY Ireland’s growth in the consumer sector across the island of Ireland.

Rachel Dillon

Rachel Dillon has been admitted as an equity partner in tax and law and is head of mobility services at EY Ireland. Rachel has extensive experience advising leading businesses across a range of sectors in relation to reward, global mobility, employment tax and wider policy issues.

Keara Geary

Keara Geary has been admitted as an equity partner in transformation delivery in EY’s business consulting practice. Keara has a depth of experience in transformational project management coupled with the delivery of large-scale transformation programmes across multiple industries in Ireland and internationally. She is passionate about supporting our people and clients in bringing EY’s purpose to life to enable transformation for all.

Ronan Glynn

Ronan Glynn has been admitted as an equity partner and is health sector lead at EY Ireland. A physiotherapist and medical doctor, with specialist training in public health medicine, prior to joining EY he served as deputy chief medical officer at the Department of Health in Ireland. He was a key member of the team tasked with leading the national response to Covid-19, and acted as chief medical officer for six critical months during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Mark Hegarty

Mark Hegarty has been admitted as an equity partner in assurance. As a chartered accountant with over 20 years in industry and practice, Mark is highly experienced in finance function transformation, project management and large-scale organisational change and brings with him a wealth of experience in global reporting and compliance. He is responsible for serving large multinational as well as private, indigenous fast-growth clients.

Cillian Leonowicz

Cillian Leonowicz has been admitted as an equity partner in technology consulting where he serves as head of digital strategy. He specialises in digital strategy, innovation and the design and delivery of customer facing solutions and exponential technologies. Cillian brings over 13 years’ experience across commercial and public sector clients both in Ireland and globally, having lived and worked in the USA, UK, and Singapore.

Judith Lynch

Judith Lynch has been admitted as an equity Partner with EY’s financial services consulting practice, providing consulting services to EY’s banking and capital markets clients. Judith has demonstrated success in delivering large complex programmes in the management consulting industry, with key strengths in tech enabled transformation, change management, data remediation and tech compliance.

Andrei Mankov

Andrei Mankov has been admitted EY UKI assurance partner and is a member of the senior leadership team of the EY Northern Ireland assurance department. Andrei has a wide-reaching breadth of experience serving both local and international clients from Russia, Japan and the US. His extensive expertise spans a variety of industries ranging from agriculture, retail, manufacturing, pharma and e-commerce.

John McAuliffe

John McAuliffe has been admitted as an equity partner in the performance improvement practice for financial services consulting. He has over 15 years’ experience working with EY both in Ireland and the US. His focus is on supporting financial services clients on their risk, technology, business, and IT transformation agendas.

Siofra Moriarty

Siofra Moriarty has been admitted as an equity partner in EY’s financial services business consulting practice. Siofra is the lead partner on the business design team which supports banking, insurance, and wealth & asset management clients helping them to identify new sources of growth; develop strategies to transform their cost bases; design business and operating models to enhance customer experience and implement process transformation.

Brian Moroney

Brian Moroney has been admitted as an equity partner in EY Ireland’s digital and emerging technology practice. With over 30 years’ experience as an engineer, architect and strategist, Brian works across multiple sectors including advanced manufacturing, pharma, agri-food, financial services and public sector. Brian has a depth of experience that allows him to seamlessly leverage technology to deliver real business impact and value for his clients.

Will Murray

Will Murray has been admitted as an equity partner in technology consulting and leads the digital assurance and quality engineering competency at EY Ireland. Will has over 25 years’ experience in delivering large-scale technology driven business solutions to companies in Ireland and internationally. He specialises in helping clients to mature their quality assurance and testing departments and guiding organisations to move from traditional to agile/DevOps software testing lifecycles.

John Nealon

John Nealon has been admitted as an equity partner in tax, focused on global finance managed services at EY Ireland. John has a depth of experience in building and operating effective finance, accounting and tax compliance solutions for multinational organisations. He specialises in finance managed services, finance transformation, statutory and tax compliance and helping clients to drive strategic transformation of their operating models.

Pauline Poots

Pauline Poots has been admitted as an equity partner to EY Ireland’s consulting practice, where she leads the firm’s risk consulting team across the Island of Ireland. Pauline specialises in supporting her clients in the areas of risk management, governance and controls transformation. Pauline has a particular focus on government and public sector.

Aine Reidy

Aine Reidy has been admitted as an equity partner in assurance, where she brings extensive experience with over 20 years serving a wide range of corporates across external audit, transactions and corporate governance matters. Aine serves multinational large private companies and fast-growth entrepreneurial businesses to deliver on their evolving needs and the needs of their investors.

Jennifer Ryan

Jennifer Ryan has been admitted as an equity partner in transformation delivery within the business consulting practice at EY Ireland. Jennifer is an accomplished transformation leader with 17 years consulting experience. She specialises in delivering and leading major transformation programmes and service delivery engagements.

Niamh Tobin

Niamh Tobin has been admitted as an equity Partner with EY’s financial services CFO advisory team. Niamh has worked with EY since joining as a graduate in 2011, advising clients both locally and internationally. Niamh specialises in providing accounting advisory and transaction support to a range of clients within the aviation finance sector, including aircraft and engine lessors, financiers, PE firms and manufacturers.
