With roots dating back to 1913, Aldi entered the Irish market on November 4th, 1999. From humble beginnings of trading from two stores in 1999, our property portfolio has grown to nearly 140 stores nationwide.
We have had many milestones over the last 20 years; the opening of our 100th store, becoming Ireland's fastest growing supermarket*, and growing our Irish supply base to over 200 local suppliers to name but a few.
Importantly, Aldi is about more than just retail. Corporate responsibility forms a huge part of who we are as an organisation. We are proud of the work we do through partnerships with the Irish Cancer Society, Food Cloud, Weee Ireland and Foróige, to name but a few. This allows our business and the amazing people who work at Aldi to make a real difference to the local communities that support us every day.
Graduates at Aldi thrive in a culture of pace and responsibility, where they are constantly met with engaging new challenges. The Aldi Graduate Area Manager programme is the perfect introduction to Aldi and a superb foundation on which to forge your career. High performing graduates can access incredible opportunities to roll out national projects, transition into other departments or even go on international secondment.
We recruit graduates from all backgrounds, which is what makes our teams so unique. The breadth of educational backgrounds from our area managers is diverse, creating a team dynamic that has a host of different skillsets and perspectives.
