At the same time, the business shared the exciting news that it has signed a four-year deal with Team Ireland, making it an official partner to the Olympic Federation of Ireland until the end of 2024. The deal will see Deloitte partner with Team Ireland for the Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo and the Winter Olympic Games in Beijing in 2022. In addition, it sees Deloitte as the first official partner for the Paris Olympics 2024. It also covers the Summer and Winter European Youth Olympic Festival, and European Games.

In further positive news, Deloitte Ireland has announced the appointment of six new partners across its business. Heather Doolin and David McCaffrey have been appointed partners in Audit & Assurance; Donal Murray has been appointed a partner in Risk Advisory; James Smyth has been appointed a partner in Tax; and Louise McEntee and Carol Trunk are now partners in Consulting. In addition, it has appointed a managing director, Ciaran Duffy, within its Consulting business.

“Huge congratulations to our new partners and managing director,” said Harry Goddard, chief executive of Deloitte Ireland. “This is a significant milestone for both them and the Deloitte Ireland business as we recognise their contribution to our clients and our people. As leaders, they have supported clients as they navigated the unprecedented uncertainty of the last year, supporting them to respond with agility and with a focus on emerging strongly from the pandemic. In addition, they have maintained a strong commitment to working closely and prioritising the wellbeing of our people. I wish them every success in their new roles.”
