FOUR Irish food companies are to receive EU FEOGA grants totalling £2.36 million out of a total investment of £7.7 million which will create 140 new jobs.
In addition to the FEOGA grants, the four companies will also receive State grants of £390,000.
Rye Valley Foods in Carrickmacross, Co Monaghan, will receive £1.4 million from FEOGA for an extension of its facilities; Dairygold Food Products will get £542,444 for the development of a cheese; Potato Cuisine in Drogheda, Co Louth, will receive £287,750 for its range of chilled potato products; while, Donegal Foods in Letterkenny will receive £133,000 to improve its quality control systems.
