Seán Loughman will join the The Irish Times Group as chief information and technology officer in September, the company said on Thursday.

Mr Loughman has been chief information officer at Bus Éireann since 2019. Previously he was a director in fields including technology, transformation, product technology and IT strategy at telecoms group Eir.

Earlier he worked for Swedish multinational Ericsson both in the Republic and overseas. Mr Loughman graduated from University College Dublin as a Bachelor of Electronic Engineering.
