The Wright Group has announced expansion plans for its Hogs & Heifers bar and grill restaurant brand, saying it is seeking up to six new sites for outlets of the chain to add to its existing two.

The Irish hospitality company, owned and led by Michael JF Wright, said the expansion would create up to 360 jobs.

The group opened its first Hogs & Heifers restaurant in Airside Retail Park in Swords in Dublin in 2013 and recently invested €1 million in opening a second 300-seater outlet in Liffey Valley Shopping Centre.

It is now “actively seeking” new locations of between 5,000 to 6,000sq ft in high footfall areas in Irish cities and towns, saying the outlets would ideally be located next to or near other retail or entertainment venues. It is also examining a potential expansion into the British market.

The Wright Group employs more than 750 staff, with more than 120 employed in the two existing Hogs & Heifers locations.

“The popularity of our second Hogs & Heifers in Liffey Valley Shopping Centre has proved we can successfully expand, and we now believe it’s the right time to continue to grow the brand,” said Mr Wright.
