Long-serving DAA executive Gary McLean will succeed Vincent Harrison as managing director of Dublin Airport.
State airports operator, DAA, said on Wednesday that the company appointed Mr McLean, Dublin’s deputy managing director, following an “intensive selection process”.
The company also named John Brennan as managing director of its new IT strategy division, DAA Labs.
Mr McLean joined DAA in 1996 and has worked in several key positions, including general manager operations Dublin Airport.

According to a statement, he will be accountable for all aspects of day-to-day operations at Ireland’s biggest airport.
These will include airport and security operations, asset management, safety office, police and fire services.
Mr McLean’s predecessor, Vincent Harrison, has taken over as DAA’s chief commercial and development officer.
Mr Brennan’s newly created post will see him set IT strategy to support the airport company’s business.
He previously served as director of operations at Dublin Airport and as DAA commercial director.
Kenny Jacobs, DAA chief executive, said the two appointments would allow for faster decision making and greater focus on the business.
“Gary will lead a strong Dublin Airport to successfully meet customer and passenger demands into the future,” Mr Jacobs predicted.
He said Mr Brennan’s new role was “key for our business”.
