A NEW advertising campaign aimed at promoting three major drinks brands being distributed by United Beverages was launched yesterday. Finches soft drinks,

Beck's Beer and Woody's alcohol lemonade will be the subject of a multi-media campaign which will be "refreshing yet impactful", according to a statement.

A campaign is currently underway at the European Parliament to introduce mandatory guidelines for promoting and retailing alcoholic lemonades, so-called

"alcopops", after concern was raised about teenagers being targeted.

But a spokeswoman for United Beverages said the company had taken in initiative in adopting promotional guidelines for Woody's, which has 60 per cent of the market, and making sure the product was sold in licensed outlets.
