Kerry Group, which has a sizeable meat business in Brazil, will be hoping scores of hungry football fans will give its sales a fillip, as the World Cup kicks off in earnest this week. Closer to home, Kerry's human resources department has either been having a laugh, or there's a lack of oxygen in the office.

Glassdoor, a careers website, has compiled a list of some of the wackiest job interview questions asked in Britain over the last year, the results of which were published in the FT this week.

Prominent among them was this corker, designed to assess creativity, from Kerry: “Is a Jaffa Cake a cake or a biscuit?” If you can figure that one out at all, send your answers on a postcard to Kerry’s chief executive, Stan McCarthy.
